In 1945 a specialized department for refrigeration and freezer doors for the Spanish market was added to the company's activities and the first steps towards internationalization lead to a 25-year collaboration with the Dutch company Markus Holland whose invention of the hermetic closing principle of sliding doors still form the basis for hermetically closing doors in various sectors even today.
This is also the time when the traditional carpentry activity was completely phased out and replaced by a focus on the manufacture of hermetic and non-hermetic doors for industrial applications such as refrigeration and freezer doors, large size acoustic doors, doors for the critical areas inside laboratory and clean room areas as well as critical doors and lead lined doors that are used in the health care sector.

On July 25, 1921, Tané officially started as a general carpentry company in the centre of Olot and the company quickly grew into a valued manufacturer of high-quality wooden doors and furniture.
The business premises in Olot became too small and in the early 1970s Tané moved to its current location in Llocalou (Clocalou) on a 26,000 m2 site in the picturesque La Vall de Bianya, outside the centre of Olot.
On the one hand, with the exclusive hermetic system, which is highly valued for its effectiveness and robustness, and on the other hand, with a combination of knowledge and skilled craftsmen, Tané continues to design new systems, with new materials and new production processes to make efficiency and quality its best-selling point.
The entire machine park was recently renewed to remain strong in the future and to continue to make high-quality doors for the next generations.
Due to the Covid-19 situation, an exuberant party may not be immediately possible this year, but the 100th anniversary will be commemorated in due time.
Tané is also more than just a family business, discover where we are also active in our Tané social section.
Follow our history throughout our 100th anniversary through the evolution of the Tané logos.
